SculpSure® Non-Surgical Body Contouring

The SculpSure fat removal process

While a perfect diet and frequent exercise can do wonders for fat loss, there’s always those areas where the fat never seems to go away, no matter how much you run or how little food you consume. This is known as ‘stubborn fat’, or the fat content of your body that was determined early in life and is much more difficult to deal with than fat added on through unhealthy practices. Luckily, there are other methods of treating this stubborn fat.

SculpSure is a laser treatment that eliminates fat cells through heat. To properly understand how this works, let’s break down the process by which SculpSure works. The first part of the process is that actual heating, which is done quickly and accurately by targeted lasers. This part is done painlessly thanks to cooling technology in the system that keeps the patient comfortable. This heating destroys the structure of fat cells without harming surrounding tissue, essentially liquifying the fat. Then, the body breaks down and disposes of these damaged cells, thus eliminating the fat tissue. Currently, this treatment is FDA-approved to remove fat from the chin, waist, neck, stomach, and thigh areas.

Before and after (12 weeks apart) with SculpSure

Now, the treatment described above is known as ‘warm sculpting’ since it uses heat to destroy fat cells. However, there is also a treatment called CoolSculpting. As the name suggests, this differs from warm sculpting in that it freezes fat cells to kill them rather than heating them. This is also known as cryolipolysis. Warm sculpting is used by our practice since it can target multiple areas of fat simultaneously, leading to a shorter treatment time.

The treatment will start to show about six weeks after treatment, because as mentioned before, the body takes time to eliminate the damaged fat tissue. The full results should be clear about 12 weeks after the treatment. What’s great about SculpSure is that since it removes fat cells, the results are permanent. Of course, this treatment won’t stop future weight gain, so it’s up to you to maintain your improved figure by working out and keeping a proper diet.

Ideal candidates for body contouring are simply those who want to get rid of stubborn fat in a quick, painless, and safe way. Plus, there’s no downtime, so you can resume normal activity immediately after the treatment is done.
