Most women experience vaginal dryness, urinary incontinence or a lowered libido as they grow older. With regenerative treatment such as the V-Shot offered by Sleep & Wellness, you no longer have to deal with these frustrating symptoms.
What is the V-Shot?
The process uses your own platelet rich plasma (PRP) to stimulate stem cells and growth factors to regenerate healthier vaginal tissue. Your blood is drawn and the platelets are separated out in a special machine (centrifuge). The platelet-rich-plasma is then injected into the vaginal tissue and clitoris. This plasma contains a high concentration of growth factors, and other natural components that repair and regenerate your tissue and increase blood flow.
How does the V-Shot enhance female sexual function?
The V-Shot helps improve a variety of women’s health issues, including:
- Helps to Increase sexual desire
- Provides younger, smoother skin of the vulva.
- Enhances the ability to have a vaginal orgasm.
- Helps to overcome urinary incontinence.
- Increases natural vaginal lubrication.
- Provides tighter vaginal opening
- Reduce pain during intercourse
Is the V-Shot very painful?
It’s true that these injections are in highly sensitive areas. But apply topical as well as injection anesthetic to help numb the area and reduce any discomfort you may experience. Our patients generally report little to no pain during and after the V-Shot procedures.
Is the V-Shot safe for me to use?
Yes! The V-Shot is extremely safe since it’s made from your own blood using sterile medical equipment. There’s little risk of infection, and most patients don’t experience any side effects. When they do occur, side effects include mild irritations, discoloration, and/or bruising at the injection site. Less commonly, some women experience mild itching or discomfort the day of treatment.
How long does it take to recover from getting the V-Shot?
No time at all! The V-Shot doesn’t require any type of special recovery. You can immediately resume your normal activities — including sexual intercourse.
How fast will I see results from the V-Shot?
How quickly you see results depends on your body and the symptoms for which you were seeking treatment. For example, women receiving the V-Shot to help with stress incontinence usually notice an improvement faster than women who need help with achieving orgasm.
The growth factors in the PRP solution take about two weeks to engage fully and create a noticeable change. Expect to enjoy maximum benefits in about three to four months after your initial treatment.
How long will the effects of the V-Shot last?
Although individual results vary, most of our patients report enjoying the benefits of a single V-Shot for one to two years. You’ll enjoy even better results by scheduling a follow-up injection about 6-12 months after your initial V-Shot. We recommend annual V-Shot injections to maintain optimal results.
Who can get the V-Shot?
Urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction happen at all ages, so the V-Shot helps younger women who struggle to orgasm consistently as well as older women dealing with the frustrating side effects of menopause. After giving birth, some women lose sensation and vaginal tightness. The V-Shot helps address these conditions, too.
Will I still need lube after the V-Shot?
The V-Shot increases sensation in the vagina, so you can expect to experience greater arousal more quickly after your treatment. As a result of increased arousal, many women find their natural lubrication increases and they don’t need supplemental lube. The results may vary from person to person.
